At Charmlet, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Data We Collect

When you use Charmlet, we may collect:

  • Conversations and content you provide: text, messages, and screenshots (which are processed to extract information, not stored long-term or retained as images after processing).
  • Account information: email, name, and account ID.
  • Usage data: features used, number of AI suggestions generated, and general app interactions.

We do not track your personal activity outside the app.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

  • Generate AI suggestions for your conversations.
  • Improve and optimize Charmlet features and analyze usage trends for everyone.
  • Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Charmlet does not access your accounts on other apps (such as dating or messaging apps) and does not send messages on your behalf. You review and send suggestions yourself in those apps.

3. Sharing Your Data

We may share your data only in limited ways:

  • With service providers and partners who process data on our behalf (e.g., AI servers).
  • If required by law or legal process (e.g., court order or governmental request).
  • In aggregated, anonymous form for analytics or research.

4. Storage and Security

  • We protect your information with reasonable technical measures, including encryption in transit where applicable.
  • We retain data on our systems only for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms. When you use Charmlet on the web, your browser may also store limited information on your device, for example to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as theme or language, and support basic technical operation. You can usually remove this by signing out or clearing Charmlet site data in your browser.

5. Images and Media Processing

Screenshots you upload are processed only to extract relevant information needed to generate suggestions. The original images are not stored long-term or retained after processing on our servers.

Profile images or photos associated with saved conversations may be stored as part of your account data to support app features.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we have about you.
  • Delete your account and all associated data directly from the app, at any time.
  • Opt-out of non-essential data usage where possible (e.g., for analytics or improvement).

To exercise these rights, contact us through the app or website.

To delete your account, open "My account" from the menu, expand "More options", then tap "Delete my account". If you pay through Stripe and your Pro subscription is still active (not already set to end at the current billing period), the app will block deletion until you cancel that subscription first; after that, open "Delete my account" again. When you are allowed to continue, type "DELETE" to confirm. Only after that step succeeds is your account removed immediately and permanently, and conversations, profiles, and AI-generated messages are erased from our servers. Anonymized usage feedback (for example service quality data) may be retained to improve the app.

7. Age requirement

Charmlet is 18+ only. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

8. Access by Charmlet

Authorized Charmlet personnel may access your conversations, profiles, and generated messages only when necessary to maintain the service, investigate abuse, or comply with legal obligations. Such access is logged and strictly monitored to protect your privacy, and limited to the minimum required for these purposes.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

  • We may update this policy from time to time.
  • Any significant changes will be communicated via the app.
  • Always check the "Last updated" date at the top.
